AI consultant for law firms in Massachusetts.

ColabContent is an AI consulting firm that looks at the whole practice, from intake and conflicts to billing and reporting, and builds the systems a law firm owns outright, with no fee for each user. One firm runs its practice on a platform ColabContent built (13,296 matters, measured August 2026); Jim Glaser Law in Sharon, Massachusetts uses its intake phone lines. Founder Brandon Rodriguez lives in Attleboro and builds the work himself.

Built for law firms

Two law firm systems you can ask about

ColabContent works with established, owner-run and mid-market firms ready to put $10,000 or more into fixing a real problem in how the practice runs. Phones are one of seven areas it looks at, alongside operations, client experience, the back office, the team, data and reporting, and software. Two law firm builds can be described in public.

Jim Glaser Law runs its advertising across five channels: paid search ads, organic search, TV, Meta and Google's Local Services Ads. ColabContent gave each channel its own AI phone line, so every new caller is answered and the firm can see which channel the call came from. By August 2026 the lines had taken 3,787 calls over 5,514 minutes. Jim Glaser takes reference calls from firms considering the same work; the case study has the detail.

A second firm, whose name is withheld, runs its practice on a platform ColabContent built and the firm owns. Measured in August 2026 it held 13,296 matters, 4,396 clients and 5,684 invoices, and it reconciles client trust accounts every night. The platform case study describes it.

Owned, not rented

Why a firm would own its system

A rented legal AI product is paid for every month, often per user, and the firm cannot change how it works. What ColabContent builds is the firm's own: at handoff the code, the prompts and the accounts it runs in belong to the firm, and nothing is charged per user. The firm can stop after any phase and keep what was built.

Owning is not always the right answer. For legal research alone, a product such as Harvey or CoCounsel covers it well, and the written recommendation says so when that is the case. Building fits where the work is specific to how your firm runs: intake, conflicts, engagement letters, call tracking and the reports partners actually read.

Where firms start

Three jobs a law firm system usually does first

These are demonstration systems, real working software we built on invented firms and clients, labelled "Demonstration system, sample data". They show the shape of the work before any of your data is involved.

  • Legal intake desk: a new enquiry is read into a record, checked for conflicts against the firm's own list, scored against the firm's written criteria, and answered in the firm's own wording or held for an attorney. It is not legal advice; anything uncertain waits for a lawyer.
  • Engagement documents: the matter opens from the intake record, the names are checked for conflicts, and the engagement documents are drafted from the firm's own clauses, approved by the attorney and signed on a phone.
  • Call attribution: each advertising channel rings its own line, every call is followed through to whether it became a signed case, and the cost of a case is shown for each channel. This is the pattern behind the Jim Glaser Law lines.
Confidentiality

Client data and access

Nothing touches client records until the data and access terms are written down and agreed, and a short mutual NDA (a non-disclosure agreement binding both sides) is signed on request. The first working piece is built on sample data shaped like your firm, so a partner can judge it before any real file is involved.

Each phase has a fixed fee and a written acceptance test, the check it must pass before it counts as done. If a phase passes and the firm wants to stop there, it stops and keeps what it paid for.

Prices

What a Massachusetts firm pays

WhatPriceTerms
AI-Ready Audit$499Report the same day, with a video walkthrough and a 20-minute call; refunded in full if you do not find it valuable
SEO and AI-visibility fixes$2,997 one timeDone in 14 days, scoped from what the audit found
Care$997 a monthOptional; cancel on 30 days notice
Custom AI systemfrom $10,000A working prototype on your own data in 7 to 10 days, before any build fee

The prices are the same for a firm in Boston, Worcester or on the South Shore as for one in any other state. The AI-Ready Audit is the usual first step when a firm wants the whole practice looked at, including what ChatGPT says when someone asks for a lawyer like you.

Start with the $499 audit.

The audit looks at intake, follow-up, reviews and what AI assistants say when someone asks for a lawyer in your practice area and town. The report arrives the same day, and the $499 is refunded in full if the firm does not find it valuable.

FAQ

Massachusetts partners and office managers ask the same handful of things before they commit: what has been built for firms like theirs, what it costs, who owns it, how client data is handled, how long the first piece takes, what happens to intake staff and whether they can speak to a firm that already uses it. The short answers are below.

Has ColabContent built AI systems for Massachusetts law firms?

Yes. Jim Glaser Law in Sharon, Massachusetts runs five AI phone lines ColabContent built, one per advertising channel; they had taken 3,787 calls by August 2026. A second law firm, name withheld, owns a practice platform ColabContent built that held 13,296 matters in August 2026.

What does a law firm system cost?

Custom systems start at $10,000, with a fixed fee for each phase. Optional care after handoff is $997 a month and cancels on 30 days notice. There is no hourly rate and no fee for each user. A firm that wants the whole practice reviewed first can start with the $499 AI-Ready Audit.

Who owns the system, and how fast is the first piece ready?

The firm owns the code, the prompts and the accounts from handoff. A working prototype on the firm's own data is shown in 7 to 10 days, before any build fee.

How is client confidentiality handled?

Data and access terms are written and agreed before ColabContent touches any client record, and a short mutual NDA is signed on request. The first piece is built on sample data, so nothing confidential is needed to judge it.

What if the audit is not worth it to us?

The $499 is refunded in full if the firm does not find the AI-Ready Audit valuable, and the firm keeps the report.

Does it replace our intake staff?

ColabContent makes no promise about headcount. The firm decides which steps a system handles, which ones wait for an attorney or a staff member, and how to use the time it frees.

Can we talk to a firm that uses it?

Yes. Jim Glaser of Jim Glaser Law takes reference calls from firms that want to hear how the work went.
