One working system
How the work is really done, drawn and ranked.
We want someone to map how work really gets done and fix the slow steps.
Process mapper
Staff describe a process in their own words, the steps are drawn and timed from a sample activity log, the first steps to automate are named with the arithmetic shown, and one of them is run on sample documents.
What it does
From three accounts of one process to a first choice, in four steps.
Three people tell it their way
A clerk, a buyer and a controller each describe how a supplier invoice gets paid. None of them has to draw a diagram or agree with the others.
One map comes out, with a surprise
Their accounts are joined into a single run of steps with the role that does each, ordered the way the activity log shows the work happening. One step appears in the log that nobody mentioned.
Two steps are put forward, with the sum shown
The system names the two steps that eat the most logged time and suit automation by a stated rule. The division is printed beside each, so a skeptic can redo it.
One of them is shown automated
Matching each invoice to its purchase order and receiving slip is run on the sample documents. Most match on all three, and the rest go to a person.
Ownership
You own it. All of it.
The map of how your company works is an asset in its own right. In a version built for you, the map, the log analysis and the automated step belong to you and can be handed to any team that continues the work.
Hire or own
What the hire costs, and what this costs
Much of a transformation lead's first quarter goes on discovery. A system that does discovery for one process can be delivered at a fixed fee before the search ends, and the leader you appoint begins with evidence.
When the hire is the right call
Appoint the lead when change has to be carried across departments and people have to be brought along. Persuasion, sequencing and accountability to the board are human work that no map supplies.

Demonstration system, sample data
The building supply company, its staff and every invoice are invented, and the activity log was written for the demonstration. One process is covered, paying supplier invoices. Only one of the two named steps is automated here.
What it costs
Three public prices. Nothing per user.

Questions buyers ask
Before you ask for your version
Is this a digital transformation lead's job?
It is a core part of the early work: finding out how a process runs and where to start. Leading the change, funding it and seeing it through are the lead's.
Where do the timings come from?
From an activity log, added up step by step. In the demonstration the log is sample data in the shape an audit trail export takes; in a real engagement it would be your own export.
Why were those two steps chosen?
A written rule picks steps that are keying, matching, filing or scheduling and ranks them by logged time. Sign off and chasing stay with people, and the rule is shown on screen.
Does it work for processes other than paying invoices?
The demonstration covers one process. The method, which is words from staff plus a log, applies to others, and a customized version would use a process you name.
What would you need from us?
For the customized version, nothing but the name of a process and the roles involved. It is built on sample data shaped like yours.
