Dispatch board
For a field service company. Every crew and every job sit on one board. An urgent call comes in, the system proposes the best placed crew with the reasons shown, the dispatcher can drag the job to another crew and the plan is reworked, and every customer whose time moves is told by text. You play the dispatcher.
Sample demonstration on invented data. The full system is built for your business, and you own it. Ask for yours
What to try (about 3 minutes)
- Press Urgent call. A burst pipe comes in and the board proposes a crew, with the reasons built from the same numbers as the score.
- Drag the job to another crew. The plan is reworked, and a crew without the right skill is refused with the reason.
- Press Accept. Each customer whose time moved gets a text, written for that kind of change.
- Open Phones to see the texts on the sample phones, and a crew's own phone view.
- Open End of day and press Play out the rest of the day for the jobs kept, moved and missed, and the drive time.
What is real and what is not
Real: the schedule arithmetic, the scored choice of crew and its reasons, the reworked plan when you drag a job, the skill check, the text wording for each change, the crew phone view and the end of day counts.
Not real: the call, the texts, the map and the clock. The urgent call is a button, texts go to sample phones on screen and nowhere else, the map is a grid with 4 minutes a block, and the rest of the day plays out as planned. No model is used in this one. The company, crews and customers are invented.
