Missed call rescue
A call comes in and nobody picks up. Three seconds later the caller gets a text, their replies are read into a job, a time is booked and the owner gets one alert. You play the phone system and the caller.
What to try (about 3 minutes)
- In the Event simulator panel, press Post missed call event. A row appears, texted back in 3 seconds.
- Open the call and press Send text as the caller. You can change the words first. The job card fills in and two times are offered.
- Send the second text to pick a time. The call is booked with a technician.
- Open Owner alerts to see the one alert the owner would get.
- Pick Emergency in the simulator and run it again. It takes the first window and moves a flexible job out of the way.
What is real and what is not
Real: reading the caller's replies, offering open times from the schedule, booking, the emergency rule, the after hours rule and the owner alert all run when you press the button, on whatever you type.
Not real: the phone and text legs. The simulator stands in for a phone system, and every text and alert is written to the screen only. Nothing is sent to a real phone. The company and the people are invented.
