One working system
Call attribution, from the ad to the signed case.
I spend on five ad channels and cannot tell which one makes the phone ring with real cases.
Call attribution
Each advertising channel rings its own line, every call is followed through to whether it became a signed case, and the cost of a case is shown for each channel.
What it does
Which channel pays for itself, in four steps.
Each channel rings its own line
Every kind of advertising gets a separate phone line, so a call arrives already tagged with where it came from.
Calls are followed to a signed case
Counting calls makes the cheapest channel look best. Following each call to a signed case can reverse the order, and the board shows both.
Every number opens to the calls behind it
Click a figure to see the individual calls and why each one counted or did not.
A plain summary every Monday
The managing partner receives the week in plain numbers without opening the board.
Ownership
You own it. All of it.
Attribution is only useful if you can question it. The lines, the call records and the rules for what counts sit in your accounts, open to anyone you choose.
Hire or own
What the hire costs, and what this costs
If the analyst you are hiring would spend the week assembling this picture by hand, the system does the assembling. What is left is the decision about where next month's budget goes.
On the postings our role finder read between September 2 and October 6, 2026, listed pay for marketing operations and marketing automation roles, the nearest role we track ran from a median low of $80,000 to a median high of $116,000. 63 of 265 postings listed a range. The full table is on the marketing operations salary page.
When the hire is the right call
A firm buying across many channels, testing creative and spending heavily needs an analyst's judgment. The board gives that person clean numbers to start from.

Demonstration system, sample data
The firm, the channels, the calls and the costs are sample data. It is not the phone system a named client runs.
What it costs
Three public prices. Nothing per user.

Why not just count calls per channel?
Because volume and value differ. In the sample data the channel with the most calls costs the most for each signed case once every call is followed to its outcome.
How does it know which call became a case?
Each call is tagged with its line and checked for whether it was a real enquiry. When the case is signed, the board updates that channel's cost.
Is this only for law firms?
The demonstration is set in a law firm because signed cases make the idea easy to see. The same method applies wherever a phone call leads to a sale that gets recorded.
Can I see when the calls come in?
Yes. The board shows calls by time of day for each channel, which matters when a large share of one channel's calls arrive after the office has closed.
What changes when a new case is signed?
The board moves. In the sample run one signed case lowers that channel's cost for each case, and the Monday summary reflects it.
